We were supposed to get an absolute movie, but things have changed. The Indiana Fever will travel to Illinois to take on the Chicago Fever at the United Center. Unfortunately, guard Caitlin Clark is still out with a quad strain. Let’s recap their starts to the season and then get into the Fever vs Sky picks.
Indiana is 3-4 this season and 1-2 since Clark has been out. They come into this game off a much-needed home win over the Mystics Tuesday night. Kelsey Mitchell finally found her rhythm with 24 points and Lexie Hull put up 14 points and 6 boards.
This team’s offense was rolling to start the season. They rank 3rd in points per game and 2nd in pace. Not having Clark playing is definitely showing during their games, not just the 1-3 record. Their play has been sloppier than usual without Clark, but they played much better last game.
Aliyah Boston has been struggling to a degree with Clark out. She hasn’t been scoring as much and only had 1 rebound in her last game. Look for the Fever to make adjustments to get her good looks and easy baskets.
Chicago will look to get big win over the Fever in their rivalry

Sky forward Angel Reese is fouled by Fever guard Caitlin Clark.
The Sky started off by losing their 1st four games but have since won their last two games. They come into this game off a win over the Wings Saturday by 11 points. It’s a lot of time off for the Sky, so they’re either going to be fresh or rusty.
Angel Reese has gone back to her ways of last season. She is averaging a double double with 10 points per game and 12.3 rebounds per game. Reese still needs to work on her shooting, but she is making big contributions to this team.
Newly added guard Ariel Atkins leads the team in points, averaging 15.3 points per game. Returning Sky player Courtney Vandersloot is starting off strong as well, averaging 12 points per game and 6.2 assists per game.
It’s going to be big for them to play on this big stage and they’ll want to get the win. Unfortunately for them, the majority of the building was there to see Clark and that’s now not happening. Let’s check out the odds and get into the picks.

Indiana Fever vs Chicago Sky Picks and Predictions

Indiana Fever guard Kelsey Mitchell takes an open jump shot.

With Clark being out, I think we see a close game. Indiana struggled without her the 1st two games she was out, and the Sky are going to want this bad. The also have a groove going right now after winning 2, so 3 in a row would be sweet.
Ariel Atkins will most likely guard Kelsey Mitchell, which should be a good matchup. I like for Mitchell to get 21 or more points for -106 and I like Atkins to also get her points line of 16 or more points for -104. Both guards are going to want to set the tone.
Aliyah Boston will most likely battle it out down low with Natsha Howard vs Angel Reese. Boston hasn’t been doing much which makes me like Reese to get 12 or more boards for -166. We’re going to pay the juice man here to kill the hook. Pair it with Atkins for 2 or more 3 pointers for -166.
Should be a really good game even though we’re not going to get the movie we expected. Expect for both teams to be down each other’s necks and go back and forth. As long as the Sky can keep it close, which I think they will, then they cover the 4 points easily.
