See Picks & Statistics For The GameWhat a game we got the other night. These two teams went at it, and it was an absolute dog fight. The Indiana Fever and Atlanta Dream will play their second game of their home and home. Atlanta won the other night by a final score of 91-90. Let’s recap and get into the Fever vs. Dream picks.
Indiana is 1-1 on the year after that loss but have looked really good. Caitlin Clark picked up right where she left off from last season, just more confident. You can see it in the way she’s playing and how she’s running this team on the floor.
Clark isn’t the only one who’s starting off nicely. Aliyah Boston, the former No. 1 pick, is off to a great start. In the two games, she’s averaging 21.5 ppg. and 11.5 rpg., which are some serious numbers if they continue. Kelsey Mitchell is also playing really well, especially scoring. She just had 24 points last game and scored 15 in the season opener.
Newcomer Natasha Howard is settling in well. She’s pulled of 10.5 ppg. and 7 rpg. to start, but there is a piece missing. DeWanna Bonner has been nowhere to be found, except she’s still starting. She didn’t even have a point last game in only 16 minutes, so something to keep an eye on.

Dream will look to beat the Fever on its home court

Atlanta played a really good game last time out. It came down to the wire and Rhyne Howard sealed the game with a free throw. They will need to bring all of that and more again to beat the Fever twice in a row.
Howard came to play Tuesday with a 20-point game. Out of the 17 shots she took, 13 of them were from 3 and she only made four, so imagine if she shoots better. The former No. 1 overall pick looks to be ready to continue her great play from last year.
The newest members of the team showed out last game. Brionna Jones had 19 points and 13 rebounds, while Brittney Griner had 21 points and 8 rebounds. These were absolutely huge contributions to the offense and the reason they were picked up.
We’re getting spoiled with such great matchups in the first few games of the season! Let’s check out the odds and get into the picks.

I’m going with the road team here. I like that the spread is close and it’s for obvious reasons. We should get another really good game, but the Fever should win this one. They came all the way back from down as many as 14 points, so if they have a better start – they could run away with it.
That’s another reason why I love the number on the spread. They could easily beat the brakes off the Dream if say Bonner all of a sudden shows up. Also just playing each other, adjustments will be made, so I’m interested to see if either make any on defense because that was a lot of points last game.
Give me Kelsey Mitchell to continue to ball out. We’re taking her for 18 or more points for -113. She’s coming off a 24-point performance last game and she’s going to be shooting. I also really like Aliyah Boston to get 15 or more points for -128. She’s hit this in both games this season and scored more in her second game, so she’s heating up.
On the other team, I love Brionna Jones to record 22 or more points and rebounds for -114. She’s coming off a 19-point, 13 rebound game against this team and also hit the mark in her first game this year. She looks great in her new digs and I’m riding with the hot hand.
