Carlos Alcaraz vs Jannik Sinner French Open Final Predictions & Picks

Since the start of 2024, Sinner has been devastatingly dominant. His 6-4, 7-5, 7-6 (7-3) semifinal win over Novak Djokovic on Friday was his 92^nd win in his last 100 matches, and he is seeking his fourth Grand Slam title and tenth title overall in this run.

In the last 17 months, only two things have hindered even more pronounced dominance for Sinner. One is the three-month suspension he served this year. The other is his French Open men’s singles final foe.

Of the eight losses Sinner has been dealt in his last 100 matches, four have come at the hands of Alcaraz.

Sinner last defeated Alcaraz in the semifinals of the 2023 China Open, a 7-6 (7-4), 6-1 victory.

Since then, Alcaraz is four for four in competitive matches, though Sinner did defeat win an exhibition match in Saudi Arabia last October.

Last year, Alcaraz recorded head-to-head victories in the Indian Wells semis, French Open semis, and China Open final. And in their lone 2025 matchup, Alcaraz scored a 7-6 (7-5), 6-1 win in the Rome Masters final last month.

Sinner has rolled to his first French Open final without losing a single set, which is certainly impressive. But with how much Alcaraz has had the upper hand recently and with the Spaniard’s strength on clay, only one result looks likely.

That said, there’s a good chance it will go the distance and at least four sets at minimum. Their matchup in Rome is the only one time they haven’t gone the maximum number of sets on clay. Much like yesterday’s women’s final between Gauff and Aryna Sabalenka, this should not be a short match.
