The weekend is upon us and the entire MLS is in action on Saturday with a total of 15 matches across the league spanning nearly 11 hours. Tons of footy action for all of you soccer lovers, so let’s waste no time and get into our best bets for the MLS weekend.

Major League Soccer: Saturday’s Predictions

Nashville SC vs Seattle Sounders Best Bets

Best Bet: Seattle Sounders ML (-130) BetOnline

We backed Nashville at home last weekend and they came through for us in stoppage time. However what did I preach in that match? The fact that Nashville is a completely different team at home. Now they are on the road in this one, and Seattle takes advantage of their home field as well.

They are unbeaten at home in three matches so far this year, and absolutely beat down LAFC 5-2 when they came to town. They’ve also got a 3-1 CONCACAF Champions Cup victory at home this season. Now they’ve been on the road for three straight weeks, and played Houston to a scoreless draw their last time at home. In front of their fans, I think they come to play against a Nashville team that struggles away from Music City. The Sounders are coming off a 1-0 win, and I see them keeping the momentum in their favor.

On the road this year, Nashville lost 2-0 to the Red Bulls, beat the Union 3-1, but then lost to Charlotte 2-1. They barely escaped Real Salt Lake last week, and out in the Pacific Northwest, I don’t think they’ll put up a fight like normal. Give me the Sounders at home.

Prediction: Sounders Win 1-0 (+550)

St. Louis City SC vs Vancouver Whitecaps Best Bets

Best Bets: 1H Draw (+135) Bovada

Get in, get out. All we need is 45 minutes of boring soccer for us to cash this bet. Vancouver is off to an insane start, scoring a league-leading 17 goals in just 8 matches, netting over two per game. On the flip side, their defense has been incredible too, allowing just six goals across their 8 matches so far this year. However, now they are on the road against a St. Louis City SC team that is playing an opposite style.

City SC have scored just five and allowed only six goals across their 8 matches. They are much lower on the table, but their defense has clearly been very strong. Tonight, at home, against an electric offense, I look for City SC’s back line to play very conservative, controlled soccer, especially in the first half. They will look to keep possession and force Vancouver to chase them around, tiring their legs and refusing to give them an opportunity to score.

I see this being a boring first 45 minutes, which is exactly what the hosts will want. As usual, I lean with the ultimate 1H sweat in under 0.5 goals because I see this being a scoreless first half, but I’ll stick with the draw at +135.

Prediction: 1H Draw 0-0 (+220)
