Major League Soccer: Saturday’s Predictions

Seattle Sounders vs Houston Dynamo Best Bets

Best Bet: Sounders ML (+145) BetOnline

Back the Sounders on the road with me tonight. These two teams already played to a scoreless draw in Seattle earlier this year, but it was a very lopsided affair besides the score. Seattle won the possession battle at 55%, they won the corner kick battle 7-0, and outshot the Dynamo 13-6 overall, and 4-1 on target.

Houston is at the bottom of the Western Conference for a reason. They struggle to net a goal per game while allowing nearly 1.5. Even playing at home, I have little faith in Houston’s defense to contain the Sounders a second time. It took plenty of good goaltending for the Dynamo to escape with a point last time they faced off, and this time around, I don’t think they’ll be as lucky.

Prediction: Sounders Win 2-0 (+1300)

San Jose Earthquakes vs Colorado Rapids Best Bets

Best Bets: San Jose or Draw Double Chance (-110) BetOnline

Back the Earthquakes or a Draw with me tonight for a great price. The Earthquakes lost to the Rapids at home earlier this season, 2-1. They’ve got revenge on their mind as they head to Denver, and they are one of the highest scoring offenses in the league. San Jose has netted 24 goals already this season in just 11 games.

That’s over 2.18 goals per contest. Now, they have also conceded 20 in those matches as well, but after having lost to the Rapids once, I see them being more defensive focused in this next match. Colorado is about middle of the pack this season so far, but they’ve only got one win over their past five matches.

Ultimately, I see San Jose taking them down in this revenge spot, and for a great price we can win if they draw as well.

Prediction: San Jose Wins 2-1 (+1200)
