We head to the West Coast for a late game on the slate. The Nashville Predators take on the Los Angeles Kings at the Crypto.com Arena. These 2 teams met back in December and the Preds won by a score of 3-2.

Los Angeles is 35-20-9 this season and are 3rd in the Pacific Division. They come into this game on a 4-game winning streak even though they are 5-3-2 in their last 10 games. The Kings are really good at home, with a 22-3-4 record.

Goalie Darcy Kuemper is expected to get the start. He is 21-8-7 this season with a 2.23 GAA and a .916 save percentage. Kuemper will look to get the Kings another home win on the season.

The Predators are 25-33-7 this year and 7th in the Central Division. They come into this game off a loss to the Ducks last night in a game they should’ve won. The team is 5-5-0 in their last 10 games and 8-21-4 on the road.

Nashville made a splash this offseason with some big signings, but it ended there. Even with Stamkos and Marchessault, the team’s offense is lost. They rank 2nd to last in the league for goals scored, but 5th in the league for shots on goal per game. They may shoot a lot, but most are missing as they have the worst shooting percentage in the league.

On defense, they aren’t much better. They rank 25th in goals allowed and 21st in shots on goal allowed per game. Their penalty kill is decent ranking 9th best in the league, which gets plenty of time since they commit about 5 penalties per game.

Goaltender Justus Annunen is expected in net tonight. He has a 14-9-0 record this season with a 2.72 GAA and a .888 save percentage. This Kings team should be him to work plenty as they are usually buzzing at home. Let’s check out the odds and get into the picks.

Los Angeles’ is so good at home that it’s hard to pick against them. Nashville has struggled this season even with all the additions they made in the offseason. The Kings is going to be a tough task in their barn against that defense.

Like I said, this Predators team has struggled offensively even after adding Stamkos and Marchessault. They saw Kuemper once this season and it took OT to win the game. That was on Nashville’s home ice and that’s going to change tonight.

One play I like is Quinton Byfield and Alex Laferriere to both record 2 or more shots on goal parlayed for +137 value. Both of these guys have great history vs Nasville and have hit their line is their last 3 out of 4 games. Byfield has scored in 5 straight games so his goal at +290 is worth the sprinkle.
