See Picks & Statistics For The GameLet’s go to the last game on the slate for Wild vs Knights picks. It’s going to be a hell of a series between the Minnesota Wild and Vegas Golden Knights and Game 1 is tonight. The Knights swept the season series 3-0.
Vegas finished the season 50-22-10 and 1st in the Pacific Division. The Knights have been quietly one of the best teams in the league this season. They finished their season off with a win over the Canucks and 6-2-2 in their last 10 games.
This team is no stranger to the playoffs. They have made it every year since the team’s introduction to the league in 2018. Vegas also won the cup in 2023, so they can get it all done as well. Guys like Jack Eichel and Mark Stone still lead this offense.
The Knights play really good defense, ranking 3rd best in goals allowed and 4th best in shots on goal per game. Whether playing at T-Mobile Areana or on the road, they get comfy and blast that puck. They had the 3rd best goal differential in the league as well.
Goaltender Adin Hill is expected to start in Game 1. He was 32-13-5 this season with a 2.47 GAA and a .906 save percentage. Hill won both games he started vs the Wild this season, so it will pose a problem for Minnesota.
Do the Wild have what it takes to get past the Knights?

Wild forward Matt Boldy skates with the puck into the zone with Knights forward Mark Stone on his tail.
The Wild finished the season 45-30-7 and 4th in the Central Division. They locked up the 1st Wild Card spot in the Western Conference. Minnesota won their last 2 games of the season but were 5-3-2 in their last 10 games.
This team welcomed back some much-needed fire power. Joel Eriksson Ek and Kirill Kaprisov both made their returns from the IR with about a week left in the season. Just enough time for them to see action again before the most important time of the year.
Minnesota will need to play good defense, which they haven’t this season. They ranked 15th in goals allowed, but 26th in shots on goal allowed per game. Committing almost 4 penalties a game is not good and having the 3rd worst penalty kill in the league is even worse.
In net, we should see goalie Filip Gustavsson. He had a 31-19-6 record this season with a 2.56 GAA and a .914 save percentage. Gustavsson had more than a solid season to say the least. Let’s check out the odds and get into the picks.

Well, I think the Knights come out roaring in Game 1 in front of the home crowd. They have seriously been so sneaky good this season where they’ve been at the top of their division all year, but no one’s talking it.
In this series, I think the Wild are out matched all around. It’s of course best case that they got their best guys back, but I don’t think it’s going to be enough. Vegas is going to come out screaming and try to get out ahead early.
The Knights defense will be a problem for the Wild. They should smother them and break their passes, which will get Minnesota off their game. Vegas’ offense will go ahead and go the rest of the job.
For a player prop, I really like Ryan Hartman to record 2 or more shots on goal for -110. The odds are great for just 2 shots, and he’s covered it plenty. He’s covered in his last 3 games, last 5 out of 6 games, last 3 away games, last 7 games vs VGK and his last 3 at VGK. Although it’s a Wild prop, it’s all the Knights.
