See Picks & Statistics For The GameWe are back and this time we’re go to Cali. Game 1 of the Oilers vs Kings series was absolutely electric with the Kings holding on to win 6-5. The Oilers almost pulled off the comeback with four 3rd period goals. Let’s recap a bit and get into the Oilers vs Kings picks.
Edmonton struggled in Game 1 through the 1st two periods, down 4-0. The Oilers came back in the 3rd period, but it wasn’t enough. Phillip Danault had the game winning goal with 42 seconds left on the clock.
The Kings kicked the scoring right off with a goal just under 3 minutes into the game by Andrei Kuzmenko. From there, they went 4-1 and were completely controlling the game at the end of the 2nd period.
It was the 3rd period where everything fell apart for them. LA allowed an early goal, matched it back shot after on the power play, but then allowed 3 goals to tie the game at 5-5. The game winner wasn’t pretty, but with under a minute to play – the Kings got the job done.
Can Oilers come into Game 2 and play a 60-minute game this time?

Oilers forwards Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl celebrate after scoring a goal.
When you think about it, last game – it just took the Oilers longer to get going, but neither team played defense. Both of these offenses are so tough that they’re going to continue to shine and I think it won’t take as long for the Oilers to get going in Game 2.
Connor McDavid played fantastic in the 3rd period of Game 1. He scored the game tying goal with 1:28 left in the 3rd period. If he and Draisaitl can play the same and get it started earlier, then the Kings better watch out.
The most key thing they can do better this game is play better defense. It’s as simple as that. If they can hold the line a little bit to minimize the Kings offense, then they should be able to steal a game.
We’re expected to see Stuart Skinner between the pipes for Edmonton and Darcy Kuemper for LA again. These 2 need to step it up themselves and help their teammates be more competitive.

With what we saw from Game 1, I think we continue to see more of the same. These 2 teams went bananas and are very familiar with each other. Game 2 should be action packed again, and I think we see a lot of goals again.
I know the Oilers didn’t start off hot, but the Kings put up 4 on their own, which for an over is huge. I think in this game we see a lot of back and forth as opposed to one team playing from behind.
For some props, there are so many that I like. To start, for a nice pair, is both Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl to record 3 or more shots on goal. They turned it up late in Game 1 and they are the heart and soul of this offense.
Another prop I really like is Adrian Kempe to record 3 or more shots on goal as well. He hit the mark in Game 1 and has an insane history vs the Oilers. The shots are a little juiced, so pair it with his point for plus money.
