See Picks & Statistics For The GameIt’s do or die time for the Blues and we’re headed to St. Louis. After a Game 5 win at home, the Winnipeg Jets look to close out the series. The home team has won every game in this series so far. Winnipeg will look to spoil that and end the Blues season.
The best team in hockey hasn’t looked the greatest. Being up 3-2 in the series is good, but most thought this was going to be a 5-game series at best. Goalie Connor Hellebuyck has been extremely leaky this series and their offense
Winnipeg controlled most of Game 5. They went up 2-1 at the end of the 1st period ad led 4-2 at the end of the 2nd. From there they got an empty netter, and the Blues got a garbage goal, so this game was done after the 2nd period.
Hellebuyck, again, didn’t look like the Vezina Trophy goalie we all know. He still allowed 3 goals on only 19 shot attempts. Connor was just named a Hart Trophy Finalist and would be the 1st goalie since Carey Price in 2015 to win the Hart. Helley has the Vezina in the bag in my opinion.
St. Louis will keep fighting to try to force a Game 7 in Winnipeg

Winnipeg Jets and St. Louis Blues players get into fights after the whistle is blown.
St. Louis has really held their own this series. It took a run late in the season for them to get here, but they’re not laying down for anyone. Even though they lost last game, they still managed 3 goals in that game which made for 15 goals over the last 3 games.
The defense on this team needs to lock up. When they blew the Jets out in Games 4 and 5 – they only allowed 3 goals in total. In two of the games that they have lost, they’ve allowed 5 goals. It all comes down to defense and protecting the goalie.
Goalie Jordan Binnington has played well and faced a good number of shots. He needs a little more protection to keep him fresh, but otherwise he has gotten decent coverage as the Jets only broke 30 shots once. Let’s check out the odds and get into the picks.

Winnipeg Jets forward Kyle Connor high fives his teammates on the bench after scoring a goal.

I think the Blues luck has come to an end. The Jets should put this one away and we’re getting great value based on how home games have gone this series. It’s time they get it together and 2 wins in a row to close a series is perfect.
This spot is perfect for them to remind people they are the best team in the league. They also don’t want to go 7 games and show any sign of weakness as the next round will not be any easier. A big road win should boost these boys right into gear.
Connor Hellebuyck is going to show us all why he’s the best goalie in the league and one of the best players in the league. He has struggled up until now, without a doubt, but it ends in this game. If he gets right, they could go on a big run because he becomes a brick wall.
For a prop, we’re going to the other goalie. Give me Binnington over 22.5 saves for -114. This number is so low due to the lack of offense from the Jets, which I think cranks back on. Winnipeg has only had one 30 shot game and with the series on the line, I think we see another.
