See Picks & Statistics For The GameWe have a battle in the Pacific Division tonight and it should be a doozy. The Vancouver Canucks will take on the Vegas Golden Knights at the T-Mobile Arena. These 2 teams met back in December and the Knights won 3-1.
The Canucks are 26-18-11 this season and 4th in the Pacific Division. They play well on the road with a 15-8-4 record and was 6-3-1 in their last 10 games leading up to the break. Vancouver was also on a 3-game winning streak.
Their offense isn’t very good, so their record is a bit surprising. They are 21st in goals scored and 2nd to last in shots on goal per game. Vancouver does have a decent shooting percentage, ranking 13th in the league.
This team has one of the best defenders in the league in Quinn Hughes. They rank 16th in goals allowed and 8th best in shots on goal allowed per game. Their penalty kill is also decent, killing off 81% of their penalties where they rank 28th for penalties committed.
Goalie Kevin Lankinen is expected in net. He is 19-8-7 this season with a 2.53 GAA and a .905 save percentage. Lankinen is just returning from the 4 Nations Face Off, representing Finland.
Vegas will look to pick up right where they left off

Vancouver’s Elias Pettersson takes a fall when defended by Vegas’ William Karlsson.
Vegas is 33-17-6 this season and 2nd in the Pacific Division. They were struggling a little before break going 4-3-3 in their last 10 games. Vegas had won their last 2 games, so they’ll look to get that chemistry back.
At home, the Knights are ridiculously good with a 19-6-3 record. They are also just as good in divisional play with a 14-2-1 record. This team has really been lowkey killing it and has a chance to win it all.
On defense, they also hold it down pretty well. They rank 7th for goals allowed and 4th best for shots on goal allowed per game. Their penalty is their weak point, only killing off 76.7% of the time, but luckily, they commit the least number of penalties in the league.
Goalie Adin Hill is expected in net tonight. He is 20-10-4 record with a 2.64 GAA and .900 save percentage. Hill was a part of Team Canada for the 4 Nations Face Off but never played so he’ll be ready to go.

Vegas defenseman Bryaden McNabb and goalie Ilya Samsonov celebrate a victory.

Should be a good game here, but also a lot of rust here. Not many players from either team have been in action, so you know they’ve been sipping cocktails. I expect a lot of rust in this game along with a good goalie for Vegas.
Hill will cause issues for the struggling Canucks offense as he only allowed 1 goal last game. He has been solid this season and just watched 4 games before his eyes that he never even got to play in. Could be a game where he wants to show what they missed out on.
I also think the Knights offense will be able to get 2-3 goals tonight. That should be enough to hold off the Canucks, especially at home. Their divisional record speaks a lot to how familiar they are with their division rivals.
I like for Mark Stone to record 2 or more shots on goal and to record a point for a combined +107 odds. Stone was just playing for Team Canada so there is a chance he doesn’t play. If he doesn’t, I also like for Hill to record under his saves line. It should come out around 25, but they held the Canucks to only 20 shots last game.
