See Picks & Statistics For The GameWe head back to Winnipeg for Game 5 and we’re all tied up. The St. Louis Blues will take on the Jets at Canada Life Centre tonight. The Blues dominated Game 4 with a 5-1 win at home.
Winnipeg was the best team in the league this year, but didn’t look like it last game. They allowed 5 goals on only 18 shots which is wild. Goalie Connor Hellebuyck did not look good at all, and this is the time his team needs him the most.
The Jets offense was there last game, but they just couldn’t get passed Jordan Binnington. Binnington had 30 saves on 31 shots in Game 4 and really carried this team to victory.
Hellebuyck really needs to get back to mid-season form. This guy had 40+ wins this regular season and he doesn’t look like the same goalie. It’s crazy to think that he, of all people, was pulled from a playoff game. Jets need him back to top shape and fast if they’re going to close out this series.
St. Louis looks great in Game 4; looks to carry the momentum to Game 5

Blues players Tyler Tucker, Nick Leddy and Oskar Sundqvist celebrate after scoring a goal.
It’s crazy to see that the Blue put up 12 goals over 2 games vs the best team in hockey. Tying this series back up at 2 games each was insane when you think about it as well. Does this team have that magic to make a run?!
Rob Thomas has been playing really consistent offensively. He’s playing his role as he should, but guys like Jordan Kyrou and Pavel Buchnevich haven’t been as consistent, especially with shooting. Both of their shots on goal numbers have been very up and down.
The Blues defense has looked fantastic the past 2 games as well. Only allowing 3 goals in 2 games to one of the top offenses in the league is unreal. They really smothered them down and kept their shot totals low as well.
Goalie Jordan Binnington has been the other X factor. Unlike Hellebuyck, Binnington has played in some big games and it’s showing now. The Blues will need him to stay in form if they want a chance to continue in the playoffs.

Did someone call the fun police? Because here we are and we’re rooting for goals. We have seen 3 out of the 4 games go over the total and we’ve also seen the home team win all 4 games. This naturally makes me lean with the trends, but only the total.
As the 2 teams play each other more they just learn more of each other. I think the Blues have figured out Hellebuyck and that is going to be a huge problem for the Jets. If the Blues can steal this game in Winnipeg, I think they steal this series (and spoiler, I think they win this game).
St. Louis’ offense has been cooking the past 2 games, totaling 12 goals. They need to translate this offense to road play and they’re in there like swim wear. I like for Rob Thomas to get 2 or more shots on goal for -145. He’s hit in 3 out of 4 of the games and both in Winnipeg.
Another play I like is Pavel Buchnevich to record a point for -110. He has a point in every game this series and they’re going to need him to continue. Look for him to be making plays with Thomas tonight.
