1. Matvei Michkov o2.5 SOG -110 on BetOnline:

While the Philadelphia Flyers’ playoff hopes are bleak, that doesn’t mean players aren’t wanting to increase their own value and performances for the last month of the regular season. Especially rookie Matvei Michkov, who is still in the running for the Calder trophy for rookie of the year. And his last 10 games really show that he is still very motivated to impress the NHL and his coaching staff.

Michkov has now hit his SOG (shots on goal) prop in 9 of the last 10 games. He is averaging 6.7 shot attempts in that span and has 5 or more shots on goal in half of those games played. This is by far his longest stretch of games where he has hit his SOG prop, which is an indication that he has taken his game to a new level or is beginning to truly adapt to the league.

What makes this prop an NHL best bet is the price. Because Michkov has only hit his SOG prop in 40% of all games this season, there is still a lean that this production could fall off. However, tonight he is in such a prime matchup that it is hard to look away. The Flyers take on the Ottawa Senators tonight, who are coming off a big win last night against the Red Wings. Not only is the team traveling from Canada, but they are also allowing the most shots against in the league over the last 10 games. Prime spot for Michkov to keep ripping for this NHL best bet at a discount.

2. Pavel Dorofeyev o2.5 SOG -120 on BetOnline:

He’s BACK! Pavel Dorofeyev has been one of our favorite SOG props at a discount all season. But he had a small slump in consistency and volume in January and February. He’s not hit in 7 of the last 10 games and his shot volume has been impressive, as he is taking the reigns once again as the Vegas Golden Knights top sniper.

Through the season Dorofeyev has averaging 5.1 shot attempts per game. A volume that gives confidence in a 2.5 SOG line. However, over his last 10 games this has spiked to 6.8 shot attempts per game and he has had 6 games where he put up 4+ SOG. Due to his up and down production over the past two months we are getting him at a discounted price, making his SOG an NHL best bet tonight.

He has a tasty matchup tonight as well. The Golden Knights will play the Pittsburgh Penguins, who have allowed the 5th most shots against in the league over the course of the season. And while Pittsburgh has been tougher on shots over the last 10 or so games, they are slowing reverting back to a shots against factory. To top off this NHL best bet, is that Dorofeyev has hit in both of his games against Pittsburgh this season, with 9 SOG and 14 shot attempts in the two games.

3. Will Smith + Macklin Celebrini Point +140 on BetOnline:

The San Jose Sharks are in the midst of a rebuild, and so far their prime prospects are looking alright. Yes, the kids look alright. Macklin Celebrini has a great chance of winning rookie of the year and their top pick from the stacked 2023 NHL draft, Will Smith, has begun to turn heads. Through 53 games played, Celebrini has 48 points and Will Smith has 32 points in 57 games. The two are now on the same line, and producing with undeniable chemistry.

In fact since the Four Nations break both have been on a tear. They both have a point in 6 of the 8 games, Smith with 9 total points and Celebrini with 8. While Celebrini’s point is -190, you can get his linemate Smith for -115. And while Smith’s value at -115 is good enough to take as a straight, I love stapling these two players together for extra value.

They are both in a great matchup tonight, facing off against the Nashville Predators. The Predators are allowing the 6th most goals against in the league over the course of the season. Add all this up and these two young guns look like an NHL best bet tonight.
