We are SO BACK! It’s been almost two weeks since we have been able to pull out our snipper and readers to find value on the NHL slate. And after the Four Nation Face-off break players are well rested and already producing. It’s the final third of the season so expect the stars to put the pedal to the metal. So let’s look for value up and down the slate and grab some NHL best bets at a discount! We are now a 37-35 record over the last 24 articles with a positive unit size due to plenty of plus money plays cashing. Let’s snip some coupons and get some more green NHL player props!
We will be breaking down NHL best bets here at Betting News all season! Each article will look for VALUE, as in straights you can take to build up your bankroll or pieces you can use to beef up your parlays. All bets will be -135 or better odds. And while we will focus on NHL player props, there are times we will take sides and totals. So keep your eyes peeled here as we will drop these throughout the week.
And if you haven’t already be sure to check out some of my favorite futures and awards. So time to lace them up and get ready to ride with Betzky for my favorite NHL best bets for 2/27/2025!
1. Tyler Toffoli Point -110 on BetOnline:

Tyler Tofoli is now on the top line and racking up points
The San Jose Sharks received an offer for one of their top vets they couldn’t refuse. They moved top liner Michael Grandlund to the Dallas Stars, which has bumped up long time hired gun Tyler Toffoli to the top lines. Since the move he has been very productive. He has a point in 7 of his last 10 games and 9 points in those games.
Toffoli will match up tonight against one of his former teams, the Montreal Canadiens. In his last 7 games against Montreal he has a point in 5 of them with 9 points in those games. And while those games vary from being on teams like the Devils and the Flames, he still had two points when he faced them in February.
The Canadiens are coming off a shutout win against Carolina. They may take the Sharks a bit easy, as they are bottom dwellers in the standings. With the Canadiens allowing the 7th most goals against over the last 10 games and middle of the pack for penalties taken, this becomes a great spot for Toffoli. He has been finding chemistry with Celebrini and looks primed to have a night, making his point a NHL best bet at this price.

2. Travis Konecny o2.5 SOG +125 on BetOnline:

Konecny loves firing puck against Pittsburgh
The Philadelphia Flyers dominated their cross state rivals the Pittsburgh Penguins on Tuesday. The 6-1 win fired up the Flyers and their home crowd, and tonight they get a chance to do it again in Pittsburgh. The team is lead by vets like Travis Konecny, who brings a heart and soul style of play and understands the assignment of being a Flyer; destroy the Penguins.
Tonight we get his SOG (shots on goal) at a discounted price, which means grab your snipers and take it straight to the sportsbook. Konecny has only hit his 2.5 SOG prop in 4 of the last 10 games and is only averaging 4.2 shot attempts in those games. On top of it the Penguins have been allowing the 5th fewest shots against in the league over the last 10 games. So why is this an NHL Best Bet?
Well, Konecny has hit his SOG prop in 8 of the last 10 games against Pittsburgh, including the last game. He averages 5.5 shot attempts playing against them, and averages 3.8 shots on goal. Konecny has also hit his SOG prop in three straight games and seems to be picking up the pace after a cold streak. The cherry on top is that the Penguins should be pissed after their spanking. They could go up quickly, meaning the Flyers will need to fire away.

3. Adam Fantilli Point -110 on BetOnline:

Adam Fantilli is stepping up and his point looks like a best bet
The former 3rd overall pick in the Connor Bedard draft is starting to make a case that he could be the top of the class. Adam Fantilli was thrust into the top center role for the Columbus Blue Jackets centerman Sean Monahan went out with injury. Since then he has not looked back. He has a point in 15 of the last 20 games with 20 points in those games.
Fantilli instantly found chemistry with linemates Marchenko and Voronkov. His strong two-way play means he plays big minutes on the ice, and all but one of those 20 points came from 5v5 hockey. The fact that he gets it done on even ice helps make this a NHL best bets, as the Detroit Red Wings allow the least amount of power play opportunities to opponents over the last 10 games.
Perhaps this lack of power play opportunity is why we are getting a discount on his point prop. Or it could be that the Red Wings are allowing the 10th least amount of goals against over the last 10, or maybe even that the Blue Jackets are much better at home. But Fantilli played NCAA hockey at the University of Michigan and would love to produce in front of old friends, teammates and coaches. On top of all this, the Blue Jackets have their moms in attendance. This is a big game for Fantilli to turn some heads, as the Blue Jackets and Red Wings are battling each other for a playoff spot.
