NHL Best Bets 11/30

Well the food coma has finally subsided and I am coming out of my daze of gravy, stuffing, turkey and loads of white wine and Coors Light. Time to hit the ice and find some value on a MASSIVE Saturday NHL slate. The NHL Best Bets article went 2-1 on our Thanksgiving warm up for .7u of value. Let’s crack the broom closet to clean up after our Thanksgiving festivities today, shall we?

We will be breaking down NHL best bets here at Betting News all season! Each article will look for VALUE, as in straights you can take to build up your bankroll or pieces you can use to beef up your parlays. All bets will be -135 or better odds. And while we will focus on NHL player props, there are times we will take sides and totals. So keep your eyes peeled here as we will drop these throughout the week.

1. Sean Couturier Point +105 on BetOnline:

Just look at that man’s smile. How could you not want to ride with his point prop today?! Couturier is the top line center for the Flyers. He plays on their most productive line with Travis Konecny and Joel Farabee. Lately this line has been rolling. They have produced 10 goals over the last 10 games and 12 assists.

Couturier has been impressive in that stretch. He is currently on a four game point streak with 5 points in that span. Three of those points are goals (+300). Today the Flyers will take on the St. Louis Blues. The Blues are a great target for points right now. They are allowing the 8th most goals against this season and the 5th most over the last 11 games.

To make matters even tastier, Couturier’s linemate Konecny has a great history against the Blues. The winger has 6 points against them in the last 6 games. Konecny also has a point in 73% of all road games this season. If Konecny gets involved, there is a good chance Couturier is in on it. Add that all up and Couturier point looks like an NHL best bet today.

2. Marco Rossi Point for +100 on BetOnline:

In a similar approach to the Couturier play we are going to ride with another player who plays on the top line with a productive winger. Rossi has been the top center for the Minnesota Wild for most of the season. He gets to play with Kirill Kaprizov who is 2nd in the NHL for scoring with 26 points.

Rossi is the benefiter of Kaprizov’s production, putting up a point in 65% of all games this season. Tonight the Wild will host their division rivals the Nashville Predators. Nashville has had a dreadful start to the season, after making a huge splash this offseason. They have been playing a bit better as of late, but are still allowing the 16th most goals against over the last 10 games. Over the course of the season they have allowed the 10th most goals against.

Kaprizov especially knows how to give it to the Predators. He has 13 points against them in the last 10 matches. Six of those games he had 2+ points. If Kaprizov continues this trend today there is a good chance Rossi gets involved as well, making his point an NHL best bet.

3. Shea Theodore Assist -110 on BetOnline:

At one point last season Shea Theodore went on an insane run. The Vegas Golden Knight defenseman had an assist in 15 games of a 20 game span. We may be seeing the beginning of another run.

Theodore now has 5 assists in his last 5 games, hitting in four of those games. He quaterbacks the top power play unit for Vegas which has been redhot. The power play ranks 3rd in the NHL, converting 30% of the time. Tonight the Golden Knights will take on the Utah Hockey Club, and this power play could strike again.

Utah are allowing the 2nd most power play opportunities to opponents this season. They average 3.68 power plays to opponents per game. To make matters worse is that their penalty kill is the 7th worst in the league. They are coming off an overtime loss to Edmonton last night and may start their AHL goalie tonight as backup goalie Vejmelka has started in 5 straight games. Theodore could get involved and at these odds his assist looks like a best bet.
