2. Connor McDavid + Leon Draisaitl 1+ SOG in the 1st Period +120 on BetOnline:

Connor McDavid and the Oilers look to end the Western Conference Finals tonight
This has been one of my favorite plays all playoff long. Both Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl have been so consistent with their shots on goal (SOG). And this is especially true early in games. In fact, McDavid has had some of the highest averages for SOG all playoff series long. The Oilers saw the benefit in coming out aggressive early in game one, taking a quick 1-0 lead. And they also saw how important that was, as the Panthers quickly pushed back taking a 2-1 lead shortly after.
So turning to the top two forwards in the forward for early shots seems like a no-brainer. McDavid has not had less than 2 SOG in any game in the playoffs this year. He is averaging 6.8 shot attempts per game and is leading the league in ice time for forwards, averaging 23.7 TOI per game. Out of the 17 games McDavid has played in the playoffs there were only three games where he didn’t have a 1st period shot.
Draisaitl is not far off. He has averaging 5.8 shot attempts per game through all of the playoffs and has had 2+ SOG in all games but two. His 1st period prowess is a bit more spotty than McDavid’s having only hit in 8 of the 17 games. But at home he has hit in 5 of the 8 games. This has been one of the NHL best bets at plus money when the Oilers are at home.

3. Connor McDavid Point + Florida Panthers o2.5 Team Total Goals -110 on BetOnline:

Matthew Tkachuk leads the Panthers with 10 assists this postseason
The Panthers gave up game one in overtime after taking a bad penalty. They slowly looked more and more gassed as the game went one. But that didn’t stop them from putting up three goals and holding the lead for most the game. This has become a must win game in order to maintain a chance of overtaking home ice and preventing them from going down 0-2 in the Finals.
The Panthers have been the 2nd most productive team offensively this offseason (no surprise). They have averaged a 3.88 goals for per game average over the 17 played games, indicating that their 2.5 TT goals for is not out of the ordinary. With the series on the line this feels like a much safer team total their their 3.5 line, and a bit safer of a side than taking their money line. Especially with the up and down performances by Oilers goaltender Stuart Skinner.
However, the team total goals of 2.5 line is not bettable on it’s own. So let’s staple one of the most consistent props all playoffs long, a McDavid point. Not only does the McDavid point make this bet close to plus money, the inverse correlation of the play helps boost the odds more so than a chalky Ice Cat. McDavid has a point in 15 of the 17 played playoff games, and has had 2+ point in all but 7 of those games. He has yet to go pointless at home. Add this all up and it’s easy to see. why this is a sneaky builder and an NHL best bet tonight.
