Daniel Collins’ Week 16 NFL Pick
Saquon Barkley o12.5 Receiving Yards (-110)
Happy Holidays to all of you beauties who read our scribbles and stop by every week! It’s the best time of the year and the NFL slate will be no different.
Spectacular.
One of the best games of the day features a huge showdown in our nation’s Capitol to all but decide who is going to win the NFC East. The Philadelphia Eagles and the Washington Commanders duke it out in Washington, DC and if the Eagles can leave victorious, they will be champions of this topsy-turvy division.
Regardless of who wins this game, there is a lot on the line and at this point in the season, these are the best games to target for props.
And we don’t have to go any further than taking the possible offensive player of the year, Saquon Barkley, in this huge matchup. BUT…we are’t taking his rushing yards.
There is no doubt the Eagles are going to feature Saquon on the ground, as they have all season, but there will also be chances for Saquon through the passing game. For the lower number on his receiving yards, this line cannot be passed up.
Saquon had a tasty 52 receiving yards in the first matchup earlier this season with the Commanders and then, in my research, I looked at how Saquon has done against the Commanders/Redskins in his career and…you’re gonna want to sit down.
Saquon has 13+ receiving yards in 9 of the 10 games he has played against the Commanders.
Now, all but 1 of those games was with the Giants but still. Some players just like to crush certain teams. And Saquon has always been a thorn in the side of the Commanders his entire career. He might cash this line in 1 catch and for that reason, I am going to ladder this to 50+(+1000)
Barkley has 50+ receiving yards in 2 of his last 4 and 4 of the 10 games vs Washington and I could see him getting loose again, whether by design or in scramble mode.
Nate Hornung’s Week 16 NFL Pick
Best Bet: Cardinals/Panthers Over 46.5 (-110)
For starters, BetOnline is still offering us 46.5 while the rest of the market is inflating up to 47 and 47.5. I was screwed on a last minute touchdown for my under in NE/AZ last week, and the Cards showed me just how *not* good their defense is.
The offense in the desert is finally clicking, scoring 28+ points six times this season. They put up 30 against the Patriots last week, but still allowed a bad New England offense to score 17, including a last minute meaningless touchdown ( it wasn’t meaningless to some).
Today in Carolina, I trust the Panthers to find a groove on offense, which has been able to produce 23 and 27 points against the Bucs and Chiefs, two stout defenses. At home, on a four game losing streak, the Panthers will either roll over and die, or try to move the football and give their fans something to smile about. Either way, I see Arizona scoring as they are still fighting for the NFC West Title and the playoffs as a whole.
I glanced at Arizona TT Over 24.5, and realizing I’ll probably need 25-28 points from them for my over, I endorse either pick. However you want to back the Desert Birds in Charlotte today.

Best Bet: TJ Hockenson o43.5 Receiving Yards BetOnline
Hock’s just been one of those guys this year that’s missed a lot of time with injury, then when he did come back. it took a little while to shake the rust. Not only had Hockenson not played since last year, but this is his first season with Sam Darnold under center.
One of the most important relationships in all of sports is the relationship between an NFL Quarterback and his receivers. Without time and practice during training camp, it looked like Hock and Darnold were not on the same page. Now, over his L4 games, he’s seen 27 targets for 239 yards.
Hock’s line to get into the endzone today sits at (+185), he hasn’t scored a single touchdown this year and he’s got an abysmal 7 red zone targets this year. The Vikings make a lot of big plays and because of it sometimes Hockenson can get lost in the offense.
He’s cleared this line in 3 of L4 games, averaging just under 7 targets per game and 59.8 receiving yards per game. The Seahawks rank 23rd in yards given up to TEs this year and have allowed almost every elite TE they’ve faced to clear this line.
The Touchdown is weirdly low, tap the button and we can b**** about it later.

Micah Parsons to Record a Sack – YES (-130)
Baker, I’m sorry. This is going to happen. Number 11 is going to wrap you up, brother. Tuck the football. Shhh. I’m so sorry.
