Both teams are Top 4 in the conference currently, as Purdue is 11-3 and a half game back from the Wolverines, while Wisconsin is 9-4 and a game out of third place. Badgers Head to West Lafayette for Big Ten Showdown

The biggest story behind the Badgers this season (for me, personally) has been their increased pace of play. What used to be a very slow offense has drastically sped things up this season. After normally ranking north of 270 in possessions per game, the Badgers sit at 175th this season. Sure, they slow things down to their opponent when on the road, but against a very efficient offense, I see them trying to take full advantage.

Purdue is north of 250 in pace, but they speed up to 195th on their home court. Their offense is 2nd in efficiency at home, 11th in eFG% and Top 50 in taking care of the ball. They also shoot nearly 40% from deep although they don’t take very many, however today I see them letting it fly against a worse perimeter defense.

The Badgers are 200th in 3P Rate defense and 97th in 3P% defense, but those numbers drop to 211th and 196th on the road. They allow opponents to shoot over 34.5% on their home floor, and I see two shooters taking advantage tonight.
