See Picks & Statistics For The GameIn this Big East rematch, Villanova faces Seton Hall, and the focus should be on fading the Pirates’ struggling offense. Seton Hall ranks dead last in nearly every offensive category, making it tough for them to generate points, especially against a solid Wildcats defense. With both teams playing at a slow pace, this game should be a grind, and Seton Hall is unlikely to break 60 points.

Villanova vs Seton Hall Best Bet
Forget about the side or the game total in this one—focus on fading Seton Hall’s offense in this Big East rematch. The last time Villanova and Seton Hall faced off was on December 17, the Wildcats won 79-67 as 8.5-point favorites, and now they find themselves in a similar position as 8.5-point road favorites. The reason for targeting Seton Hall is simple: their offense has been atrocious all season, and the slow pace of play only makes it harder for them to generate points.
The pace should be as slow as your mom at the mall on a Saturday. Seton Hall is the 34th slowest team in the country, while Villanova is 10th, per Haslametrics. Both teams prefer a turtle-like pace.
Seton Hall has the worst offense in the Big East, ranked dead last in adjusted offensive efficiency, eFG%, and 2-point percentage. At home, it gets even worse, as they are also last in nearly every offensive category—except offensive rebounding, free throw rate, and free throw percentage. Villanova should be able to stifle this offense. The Pirates are averaging just 63 points per game at home in conference play, surpassing this mark in only four of their eight games. In eight games against top 50 ranked opponents on Bart Torvik, Seton Hall has failed to reach 61 points in five of those contests.
On the road, Villanova has maintained a top-115 defense, excelling at rebounding (ranked 32nd in the country). They do struggle with sending teams to the line, but if they limit fouls and prevent Seton Hall from getting free throws, their defense should hold the Pirates under 60 points in their own gym.
Death. Taxes. Fade Seton Hall’s offense. Under.
Best Bet: Seton Hall Team Total Under 61.5 (-114) on BetOnline
