The Hoosiers finally showed some fight with a much-needed win over Michigan State, but consistency has eluded them all year. Now, they face a UCLA squad eager to bounce back after a tough loss, making this a pivotal test for both teams.

UCLA vs Indiana Best Bet
Coming off their Super Bowl victory, the Indiana Hoosiers host the UCLA Bruins, who are fresh off an outright win as 11.5-point underdogs over Michigan State. After saving Mike Woodson’s rear end on Tuesday, can the Hoosiers do it again tonight against UCLA, who are coming off a loss to the Fighting Illini? Doubtful.
Indiana has been a disappointment all season and is led by a coach sitting on the hottest seat in the country. The Hoosiers will either build momentum from their massive win over Michigan State or revert to their season-long struggles. Like many Big Ten teams, they thrive at home, but this year, they have struggled from deep, shooting just 32% from beyond the arc. They have also been ineffective at forcing turnovers, ranking 292nd nationally. Against top-50 teams at home, they are 0-3. As a home underdog, they are 0-3 straight up, and overall, they are 3-9 straight up as an underdog.
The Bruins, as a favorite, are 15-4 straight up this season. They have not played particularly well on the road, but after a tough loss to a strong Illinois team and staying in the Midwest for the week, they should be more than prepared to get back on track with a much-needed road win. UCLA has maintained a top-55 offense and defense on the road while excelling at forcing turnovers, shooting the deep ball, and knocking down free throws—ranking in the top 75 in all three categories. Their biggest issue has been staying disciplined on defense and protecting the paint. However, against top-100 teams, they have stepped up in both areas.
I believe UCLA has turned things around after its early struggles and Mick Cronin’s pointed words about his players. As for Indiana, unless it goes on a massive hot streak, Mike Woodson will be fired at the end of the season. Give me the Bruins off a loss in the second game of their Midwest road trip.
