See Picks & Statistics For The GameTonight, the Oklahoma Sooners face off against the Texas Longhorns in a highly anticipated SEC showdown in Norman. Both teams are looking to break out of a three-game losing streak, but with Oklahoma’s strong home court advantage, they appear poised to turn things around. Texas, despite their top 50 ranking, has struggled with consistency, particularly away from home. This matchup promises to be a pivotal moment for both teams as they aim to regain momentum in the conference.

Texas vs Oklahoma Bet
An SEC showdown in Norman, Oklahoma, as the Sooners host the Longhorns in a traditional SEC matchup. Both teams enter this game on similar streaks, having each lost three consecutive games. However, Texas has covered the spread in three of their last five games. In contrast, Oklahoma has not covered a spread since December 18th in their win over Michigan. Now back in their comfort zone, the Sooners aim to bounce back against a top 50 Texas team.
At home, the Sooners have thrived this season, boasting a top 50 offense, averaging 61.2% from the floor, converting 83.4% of their free throws, and shooting over 35% from beyond the arc. In nine home games this season, Oklahoma has won eight. Their only loss came against Texas A&M last Wednesday.
Texas has had the luxury of only playing two true road games so far this season: a win over NC State on December 4th and a loss to Texas A&M on January 4th. Before the loss to Texas A&M, the Longhorns had gone an entire month without leaving their home gym. In five games away from home this season, Texas has an above-average offense and a top 50 defense. Their two-point offense ranks 268th in the country, while they sit 24th in three-point offense. Offensively, they lack consistency, but defensively they are still a top 50 team, capable of defending both on the perimeter and inside. However, they do not force turnovers or rebound well, ranking in the low 200s on Bart Torvik. These are two areas in which the Sooners excel, ranking in the top 100 in both categories at home.
Despite their top 50 rankings, Texas has not been the most impressive team. While they have played strong opponents, their best win came against Saint Joseph’s, ranked 82nd by Bart Torvik. Outside of that, they have no wins against teams in the top 50. Could they secure a win tonight? It is possible, but the Sooners appear to be in a better position. Pay the juice on the moneyline.
BOOMER SOONER!
