Fade the Storm!!
Georgia is coming off an outright win over No. 3 Florida as a 6.5-point underdog on Tuesday. The Bulldog faithful stormed in celebration, and I have to fade them off the highest of highs.
Texas enters this game on a two-game losing streak, falling to Arkansas on Wednesday. That is perfect—this is a prime get-right spot for the Longhorns.
Texas has been one of the best home teams this season, ranked 37th per Haslametrics, while Georgia is the fifth-worst team away from home. The Longhorns boast a top-25 offense, complemented by a top-101 defense. They take care of the basketball, shoot the deep ball efficiently, and defend the interior well.
Georgia has been a disaster away from home. They rank third-worst in eFG% offense, dead last in three-point shooting, 33rd-worst in two-point percentage, and get their shots blocked at the fourth-highest rate—all while sitting at 298th in turnover offense. With their emotional win over Florida, they are primed for a letdown against Texas on Saturday evening.
Best Bet: Texas (-5.5) on BetOnline
#13 Clemson vs Virginia Best Bet

Will Clemson humble Virginia on their own court?

Virginia is coming off one of its biggest wins of the season—a season that, mind you, has been a complete disaster. The Cavaliers took down Wake Forest on the road as seven-point underdogs, shooting 55% from the floor and 45.5% from deep, both well above their season averages. Now they have to face a red-hot Clemson team riding a five-game winning streak, unbeaten since February 4.
This will be the best team Virginia has hosted since Duke, when the Cavaliers lost 80-62. Before that, they fell 70-50 to Louisville. I expect the Tigers to have similar success.
Virginia has the 14th-worst defense in the ACC, struggling to defend both the perimeter and the interior. They are weak on the boards, struggle to force turnovers, and rank dead last in offensive rebounding in the conference.
Clemson should have no trouble containing Virginia. The Tigers boast the fourth-best offense and second-best defense in the ACC when playing away from home. Their only weaknesses—defensive rebounding and getting to the free-throw line—are areas where Virginia also struggles.
However, Clemson more than makes up for it with the best turnover defense in the ACC. They defend the interior and perimeter as well as anyone in the conference. Overall, this team has been phenomenal all season, boasting a top-25 offense complemented by a top-25 defense.
The Tigers should come to play and bring the Cavaliers back down to earth.
Best Bet: Clemson (-6.5) on BetOnline
