Baylor looks for revenge as they host No. 13 Arizona in a rematch of their January 14 matchup, where the Wildcats won 81 to 70. Despite that 11-point loss, the Bears enter as slight home favorites, a testament to their dominance on their home floor. With Arizona struggling on the road and Baylor thriving in Waco, this game sets up as a prime opportunity for the Bears to turn the tables.

Revenge game alert!
Baylor hosts No. 13 Arizona, who is coming off a tough loss to No. 6 Houston on Saturday, while the Bears are fresh off an overtime win over West Virginia. This is a rematch from January 14, when Arizona defeated Baylor 81 to 70 as a 5.5-point favorite. Now, despite that 11-point loss, Baylor finds itself as a short unranked home favorite over the ranked Wildcats, and I lean toward the Bears in this one.
Baylor is one of the toughest teams at home, ranked second overall per Haslametrics, while Arizona struggles on the road, ranking 82nd worst. As a home favorite this season, Baylor is 12 and 1 straight up and 15 and 1 overall as a favorite. Their record against ranked teams is concerning at 2 and 5 straight up, but they are 1 and 0 against ranked opponents at home. The Bears have hosted only two top 50 teams this season, Kansas and West Virginia, and they have endured the sixth toughest schedule in the nation.
At home, Baylor excels on both ends, boasting a top 10 offense and a top 30 defense to complement it. They rank in the top 75 in effective field goal percentage, offensive rebounding, two-point offense, two-point defense, free throw percentage, and both offensive and defensive turnover percentage.
Arizona enters desperate for a win after back-to-back losses, but their road struggles are glaring. They have been ineffective from beyond the arc, ranking 26th worst in three-point offense while sitting at 302nd in three-point rate. Statistically, this team looks elite, but watching them play tells a different story. Arizona is led by one of the most inconsistent players in the country, Caleb Love, who will either rise to the occasion or drag this team down once again. The Wildcats will either run away with another double-digit win over Baylor or fall victim to the Bears’ revenge.
I love this number. If Arizona were truly respected, why would this line be essentially a pick’em after an 11-point win? I will gladly take the unranked home favorite and ride out everyone’s favorite little trend.
