NBA Game Analysis

Golden States last game against the Memphis Grizzlies was an exhibition of what their offence could be. A dozen threes from The Chef himself, Draymond Green with a triple double, and Jimmy Butler? 27 points on eleven shots with 3 steals. More importantly, The Warriors have one X-factor that will help them in beating the Lakers. Steve Kerr’s offence is 5th in offensive rebound rate and 7th in 2nd chance points per game. This team can beat you with intensity if you don’t bring a proper effort level. The Lakers need to bring a it today. They are only 18th in defending 2nd chance points.

The Lakers path to victory offensively has been simple since that little trade. Let LeLuka be and let The King reign. Tonight, the Lakers face a team that allows 36.4% from 3-point range which is bottom third in the league. The Lakers will have to shoot the ball well though. The Warriors are 2nd in points in the paint allowed, 5th in 2nd chance points allowed, and 7th in fast break points allowed. The Lakers will need to be patient and pick their spots offensively. Whether thats pushing the pace or meticulous game management. Tall order, Warriors are 5th in both steals and opponent assist-to-turnover ratio.

It can be done though. Last time these two teams played the Lakers actually won the fast break battle 35-9. That game was at home too.

In conclusion, this one should be an absolute banger. It will be nationally televised on TNT, Curry and company will want revenge from last game, and the Lakers want to retain home court with a gauntlet of a schedule remaining. I cannot wait to watch this NBA game.
