Kings vs. Pistons | Analysis

The Bad Boy Pistons just might be back.
Bad Boy Pistons
Old school, punch you in the mouth basketball is back in Detroit. Led by their new head coach J.B. Bickerstaff, the Pistons have not only adopted the Bad Boy personality that comes with being a Piston; they’ve run with it. Big men, Jalen Duren and Isaiah Steward have led the charge for this squad on that side of the ball; making sure everyone remembers what it means to play the Pistons.
Detroit’s back in the postseason and fans could not be happier. After a year in which they won just 14-games and fired their head coach, they now look to potentially secure a top-5 seed in the Eastern Conference. Led by their superstar PG, Cade Cunningham; the Pistons have won 43 games and look to finish the season strong.
With Cade back at full health, the young PG was elected his first All-Star Game, averaging 25.7 PPG, 6.2 RPG and 9.1 APG. Since the All-Star Break, he’s bumped up the scoring to 26.6 PPG while still averaging 5.7 RPG and 8.9 APG. Cunningham’s shot 46% from the field and brought his 3-point percentage up to 36.5% after the break.
They did it? Kind of.
The failed experiment that is the Sacremento Bulls, looked all but dead. I mean the Chicago Kings, actually it’s just the Sacremento Kings. After losing 7 of their last 9 games, somehow the Kings went into Cleveland as a 9.5-point dog and won outright; securing a spot in this year’s play-in tournament.
The Kings are 25-22 under their interim Head Coach Doug Christie. The team relieved Mike Brown after a 13-18 start to the year and handed the keys to his Assistant, Doug Christie. Since then, the Kings traded De’Aaron Fox for Zach Lavine and have built their own makeshift Bulls team.
The team’s gone 12-16 with Lavine in the lineup and they’ll need to figure it outs sooner rather than later.
Our Best Bets in the Kings Pistons, April 7th
Domantas Sabonis o37.5 PRA (-105 via BetOnline)

Sabonis is averaging 21.7 PPG, 14.0 RPG and 5.2 APG over his L6 games.
Domantas Sabonis has been one of the best Centers in basketball for a few years now. It feels like every year we wonder how he hasn’t made an All-Star Game, yet every year it’s the same result. It’s been a tough year for the Lithuanian, not in terms of numbers but in terms of how the team’s struggled.
Sabonis watched his running mate of the last 3.5 years, not only get traded but request a trade. It wasn’t working for Fox anymore and with the way things are going, Sabonis may be next. The Kings’ big man is in his 9th year in the league and just 28 years old. He’s tied to the team for the next 3 seasons, but if this the Kings shift towards a rebuild; Sabonis may no longer fit the plan.
Sabonis has hit this line in 5 of his L6 games overall, averaging 21.7 PPG, 14.0 RPG and 5.2 APG. He’s leading the team in usage during that span and tonight he get’s a matchup with a Detroit team he’s thrived against.
Sabonis has cleared this line in both of his previous matchups with Sacremento, recording 49 and 60 points/rebounds/assists.
Malik Beasley o3.5 3s (+112 via BetOnline)

Beasley dances after another 3.
Malik Beasley plays basketball today so I’m obligated to bet on it. The Kings rank in the bottom 5 in wide open 3-point attempts allowed this year and teams have killed them from beyond the arc. Sacremento ranks 29th in 3s allowed this year and 30th in 3-point percentage allowed.
Beasley has become the Pistons best perimeter shooter and leads the team in wide open 3-point attempts per game. Beasley’s taken 33 3-point attempts over his L3 games and he’s shooting 27% from beyond the arc. Just 6 of those 22 attempts have been wide open, but tonight against Sacremento that number should go up.
Sacremento ranks 25th in 3s allowed to SG and after Payton Pritchard’s big night last night; it’s only fitting Beasley put a little pressure on the likely Sixth Man of the Year.
