Best NBA Player Props for Today | Christmas Day

MERRY CHRISTMAS FAMILY. FELIZ NAVIDAD. 

It’s finally here, NBA Christmas Day and we’ve BEAUTIFUL slate in front of us. Plenty of talk these days about the NFL now playing on Christmas Day but you could have 16 NFL Games and Christmas would still be the NBA’s day. It’s just how how I grew up, therefore that’s how it will always be.

Now, if you popped in here with me, you’re looking for some props on the hardwood. With 5 games on the slate, we’ve got plenty of props to pick from. The day starts at Madison Square Garden with Victor Wembanyama vs. Karl Anthony-Towns at centre stage.

After that we take a trip down south, Anthony Edwards and company are in Dallas to take take on Luka, Kyrie and Klay at the American Airlines Center. After we see Antman vs. the Slovenian; it’s Jayson Tatum vs. Joel Embiid at TD Garden. 

The night finishes with a HUGE back to back. We get the latest iteration in the Chef  Curry vs. King James rivalry, taking place in the Bay Area at the Chase Center.

Then we finish the night with a little rematch between the Suns and the Nuggets live from the desert. The Slim Reaper vs. the Joker to cap the night, now’ thats a Christmas Miracle.

The Alien lands at Madison Square Garden on Christmas Day.

Is there a better story line than that. It’s the first game of the day, the Spurs are on the road and San Antonio’s coming off a loss to Sixers in Philadelphia. The Spurs are 13-11 with Wemby in the lineup this year, missing just 5 of their 29 games this year.

Wemby’s averaging 24.8 PPG 9.9 RPG and 3.9 APG, shooting 47.7% and even 35.6% from beyond the arc. He’s seen a jump in almost all stats but most of all he’s seen a boost in the wins department.

Last year, Wemby played in 71 of the Spurs’ 82 games, recording just 19 wins. This year, in 24 games, he’s won 13 and he’s averaging 29.6 PPG, 8.3 RPG and 4.5 APG in these wins. He shoots above 50% from the line and 41% from 3. When the Spurs win, it’s on the shoulders of the extraterrestrial.

Victor’s played the Knicks just twice in his career, one of those games coming at Madison Square. It was just his 8th career NBA game, he was entrenched in a east coast road trip and the Spurs played 4 of 5 games on the road after opening the season at home. When he got a shot at redemption, he dropped 40 points and grabbed 20 rebounds.

Victor’s hit this line in 11 of his L14 games, averaging 29.4 PPG and the Spurs have won 9 of the 14 games. The Spurs enter this game as a 9-point dog so if they have any hope of an upset, it’ll be with be through Victor.

Luka Doncic o29.5 Points (-110)

It’s Luka Magic on Christmas Day.

Christmas Day in the NBA is something everyone grew up watching. If you love hoops, you watched the NBA on Christmas Day, whether it was here somewhere in North America or somewhere in Europe and Asia. 

Even if you don’t celebrate the day, it’s a day full of NBA action, big matchups and even bigger performers. One of the biggest performers our league has to offer right now is Mr. Luka Doncic.

Doncic is averaging 36.4 PPG on Christmas Day, scoring 30+ in 2 of his 3 games on the big day. Last year, against the his “beloved” Suns, Luka recorded 50 points, 15 assists and 6 assists. He took 25 shot attempts including 15 3-point attempts.

Doncic has recorded 19 or more shot attempts in 2 of the 3 games and is averaging 12 free throw attempts per game in these 3 games. He comes out aggressive on Christmas Day and with Anthony Edwards and the Timberwolves in town, look for more of that same energy.

In last year’s Western Conference Finals, Luka averaged 32.4 PPG against this Timberwolves team, taking 22+ shots per game and still shooting 47% from the field. They’ve played once this year, the season was less than two weeks old and Luka shot 37% from the field.

Tonight, at home, look for Luka to put on a show for all the Christmas Day viewers.
