In each of the last two NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series races, Corey Heim has led the most laps without a win to show for it. Will dominance bring rewards for Heim or someone else in tonight’s Weather Guard Truck Race at Bristol Motor Speedway (7:30 pm ET, FS1)?
Bet on the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series at BetOnline and Bovada
If you like to bet on NASCAR odds each week, look no further than BetOnline and Bovada.
Both of these sites offer odds on NASCAR Cup Series, Xfinity Series, and Craftsman Truck Series races, and you can also find series championship odds at both sites.
Why do we recommend both books instead of just one? Line shopping is a valuable part of successful sports betting, and one book may have a better number for one driver, while the other book may have a better number for another driver, so both can be useful on race day.
Additionally, line movement may occur at different times at different books. Therefore, you may get a more favorable line at one book over the other depending on the timing. Use these books in a cooperative manner to maximize your value and chances of success with NASCAR betting.
If you would like to learn more about these sports betting sites and the sportsbook bonuses you can get at them to bet on the Weather Guard Truck Race and other NASCAR races, we have in-depth sportsbook reviews for each of them and several other top online sportsbooks.
Will Heim Put Recent Disappointments in the Rearview at Bristol?
After winning twice in the season’s first three races at Daytona and Las Vegas Motor Speedway, Heim started on pole, led the most laps, and won each of the first two stages at both Homestead-Miami and Martinsville. But he didn’t add to his victory total at either track, finishing third in the Baptist Health 200 and sixth in the Boys and Girls Club at the Blue Ridge 200.
Still, he sits atop the standings heading into the sixth of 18 regular season races, 20 points ahead of defending series champion Ty Majeski.
Heim won the fall race at Bristol in 2023, his fifth career Truck Series win at the time. He has since added eight more and should add to that number soon, but will it be tonight?
He is the championship favorite and will be favored in many races this season, but he is not the favorite tonight with Kyle Larson in the field. Larson has won in each of his last two Truck Series races, including last month at Homestead when he roared back to win after spinning with 45 laps remaining.
At Bovada, Larson is a heavy favorite to win the Weather Guard Truck Race, followed by Heim and Layne Riggs, who won last year’s race at Bristol.

2025 Weather Guard Truck Race Predictions & Picks
Corey Heim (-133 at Bovada) H2H vs Layne Riggs
Heim was let down by mechanical issues at Homestead, and a flat tire caused by contact with Kaden Honeycutt cost him the win at Martinsville. We’ll see if he can find his way back to Victory Lane in the Weather Guard Truck Race, but even if he does not, he should finish ahead of Riggs, as he has done in four of the first five races this season. The only one he didn’t was the Fr8 208 at Atlanta Motor Speedway, where he finished 23rd and Riggs finished 20th.
Tyler Ankrum (-135 at Bovada) H2H vs Kaden Honeycutt
Since opening the season with a 34th-place finish at Daytona, Ankrum has finished third, tenth, fourth, and second in the last four races. He has finished better than Honeycutt in every race thus far this season, so this, like the above bet, is good value despite the juice. Also, Ankrum is worth a look for a top-five finish at +320, given his three top fives in the last four races.
Chandler Smith to finish in the Weather Guard Truck Race top five (+100 at Bovada)
Smith picked up his second top five of the season last time out at Martinsville, and he has a strong chance for a third tonight. Historically, he has done well at Bristol. He finished in the top five in both of his Xfinity Series races there, won the Truck Series race there in 2021, and finished fifth in the Truck Series race there in 2020.
