Michigan online casinos bounced back from a slow February performance by recording an all-time high in revenue for March. A report from the Michigan Gaming Control Board (MGCB) noted that operators produced $260.5 million in earnings last month.
March’s revenue total broke the previous record set in January, when operators brought in $248.2 million. The latest figure reflects a 17% increase from the prior month and a 21.1% rise compared to the same time last year.
Michigan outperformed New Jersey, which also reached a new high with $243.9 million. Meanwhile, Pennsylvania surpassed both states with its online casino real money revenue with $294.2 million this past March.
Online Casino Operators Jockey For Position
Two of the Wolverine State’s prominent USA online casino operators, BetMGM and FanDuel, were on their A-game for March. After finishing second in February, BetMGM managed to come out on top against FanDuel by generating $69 million in revenue. FanDuel settled for second place in March, producing a respectable $68.1 million.
With its pole position for March, BetMGM continues to build its lead to end the first quarter of 2025. To date, BetMGM’s overall revenue after three months stands at $195.7 million, while FanDuel sits at $192.7 million.
Meanwhile, DraftKings raked in $41.1 million for March, which is enough for a third place finish. Their performance is standard for DraftKings, which generated an eyebrow-raising $27.8 million last February. Their unusual February figures are attributed to a customer hitting a $9.28 million progressive jackpot late in the month.
Fanatics Casino, a newcomer in the Michigan online casinos market, posted $9.2 million in March. This was a career-high for Fanatics, which began their operations back in December 2024. Their lowest revenue was $7.7 million back in January; their target now is to pass the $10 million mark.
Lastly, Hollywood Casino’s latest standalone platform is generating good revenue for their operators. Following their launch last January, their March numbers stands as their highest revenue to date.
Similar to Fanatics, Hollywood Casino will strive to break through the $10 million point throughout the year. Doing so will make them one of the go-to available Michigan online casinos.
